The Atlanta Track Club will be hosting the Thanksgiving Day Half Marathon at Center Parc Stadium on Thursday, November 28 with portions of the course taking participants through the Grant Park and Summerhill neighborhoods.

Atlanta Streets Alive is a city event during where select streets are close to cars and open to people! Everyone is welcome to walk, bike, roll, jog, or stroll down, car-free streets and connect with others. This is the last of three events in Summerhill this fall.
The route passes through Georgia Ave SE starting at Gordon White Park in the West End to Cherokee Ave in Grant Park.

Bring your trick-or-treaters to Georgia Ave for our 2nd annual Summerhilloween!
ONS volunteers and participating businesses will be handing out candy along Georgia Ave. between Martin street and Hank Aaron from 4:00 - 6:00 pm (or until supplies last).
Bring your little goblins to the Wood’s Chapel Patio at 4:45 p.m. to show off their costumes. We hope to see you there for a spooky good time!
“Plan A” Community Workshop
The Department of City Planning (DCP) is leading an 18-month planning process to update Plan A: Atlanta's Comprehensive Development Plan meeting the Minimum Planning Standards set by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs and the Georgia Planning Act.
The plan sets forth the vision, goals, policies, and actions for future growth and development in Atlanta. DCP will host events across the city including public meetings, pop-ups and community workshops. An In-person workshop on Urban Design will be hosted at Fan Plex on October 23 at 5:30pm. 9/11 National Day of Service and Remembrance
9/11 Day is the 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization created by 9/11 family members immediately following the September 11th tragedy. It is the largest federally-recognized day of service in the country, in partnership with AmeriCorps and other sponsors and partners across the nation.

Kilometer Kids - Registration Closes
Kilometer Kids is Atlanta Track Club's youth running program. It's a free, game-based curriculum designed to teach kids in grades K-5 about goal setting, healthy habits, respect, and community building, all by exposing them to the sport of running. Practices take place in Summerhill at Cheney Stadium.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.
NPU-V (which represents Peoplestown, Summerhill, Adair Park, Mechanicsville, Pittsburgh, and Capitol Gateway) is hosting a local National Night Out event at the Rick McDevitt Youth Center (Four Corners Park, 1040 Crew St SW, Atlanta, GA 30315,) on Tuesday, August 6 from 5:00 - 9:00 pm.
